In a article released by the Huffington post, Yahoo’s CEO , Marissa Mayer is in the process of leaving Yahoo’s board.

 

This Article discusses the Ceo Is in a position to step down because of her ” handling ” of the 2014 hacks against the Company. Mayer has decided to pay the employees out her bonus check , would have been worth 2 million dollars. The hacks against the company had affects of at least 500 million user accounts .”Since this incident happened during my tenure, I have agreed to forgo my annual bonus and my annual equity grant this year and have expressed my desire that my bonus be redistributed to our company’s hardworking employees, who contributed so much to Yahoo’s success in 2016″ said Mayer.

Being a female at such a high ranking company with so much prestige, the pressure for her to succed is up. often time the stereotype for women is they aren’t fit to “rin ” thing or be in charge , and this incident certainly doesn’t help. She has decided to pay the workers with her bonus and that says a lot about how she feels about her workers and even her intentions , would it had been had it been a male and how would he have been seen compared to Mayer.
